All the children were baptised at St Giles Church.

Joseph and his children William and Anne were all buried at St Giles Church. As of yet i haven't found a burial record for Joseph's wife Ann.

  • John Simms (1777 - 1845)

When John and Elizabeth married they were both noted as being from the St Giles parish. They married by banns and both signed their names with a 'X'. The witnesses to the marriage were William Simms ('X' and presumably John's brother) and Hannah Smart.

All the children were baptised at St Giles Church. John was noted as being a labourer.

The 1841 census shows John and Elizabeth were still living in the St Giles area of Oxford, along with their son Richard. The 1851 census shows that Elizabeth was a widow by this point. She was living with her son Richard, who was noted as being blind.

John, Elizabeth, and their children Mary, Charles and William were all buried at St Giles Church. John was aged 68 and from Windmill Yard when he died, while Mary was 74 and from Adam's Yard.
