This is the last will and testament of me MARGARET ANNIE HAUXWELL the wife of William Hauxwell of Richmond in the county of York Gentleman. I appoint my son Albert William Hauxwell and Simon Coates of Richmond in the county of York Solicitors Managing Clerk to be executors and trustees of this my will and I declare that the term "my trustees" whenever hereinafter used shall comprise and include where applicable as well the said Albert William Hauxwell and Simon Coates as the survivor of them and other the Trustees or Trustee for the time being of this my will I direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentar expenses be duly paid and satisfied by my executors as speedily as possible after my decease I give to each of my trustees the sum of five pounds if they shall act under the trusts of my will. I give divise and bequeath all my real and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever of which I shall die possessed unto my trustees upon trust to pay to or permit to be received by my said husband during his life the whole of the rents interests dividends or annual income of my real and residuary personal estate. And from and after the decease of my said husband I direct my trustees to stand possessed of my said real and of my residuary personal estate upon trust to sell call in and convert the same or so much thereof as shall not consist of money into money and shall stand possessed of the proceeds arising from such sale calling in and conversion and of my ready money hereinafter called my trust funds upon trust to divide my trust funds into six equal shares and to pay one sixth share to my son John Hauxwell one other sixth share to my daughter Mary Ann Taylor one other sixth share to my daughter Dora Jane Hauxwell one other sixth share to my son Charles Alfred Hauxwell one other sixth share to my daughter Isabel Hauxwell and one other remaining sixth share to my said son Albert William Hauxwell. And I declare that if any of my said children John Hauxwell, Mary Ann Taylor, Dora Jane Hauxwell, Charles Alfred Hauxwell, Isabel Hauxwell and Albert William Hauxwell shall die in my lifetime leaving a child or children who shall survive me and being a son or sons shall attain the age of twenty one years or being a daughter or daughters shall attain that age or marry then between them the share which his her or their parent would have taken if such parent had survived me. I hereby revoke all former wills made by me and declare this to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this seventh day of December One thousand eight hundred and ninety six - Margaret Annie Hauxwell - signed and declared by the said Margaret Annie Hauxwell the testatrix as and for her last will and testament in the presence of us who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses - Howell Williams surgeon Richmond Yorks - James March Richmond Yorkshire Borough Surveyor.

On the 17th day of December 1897 probate of this will was granted to Albert William Hauxwell and Simon Coates the executors.

Be it known, that at the date hereunder written, the last will and testament of Margaret Annie Hauxwell (wife of William Hauxwell) of Richmond in the county of York deceased, who died on the 16th day of October 1897 at Richmond aforesaid was proved and registered in the Principal Probate Registry of Her Majesty's High Court of Justice, and that administration of the personal estate of the said deceased was granted by the aforesaid Court to Albert William Hauxwell of Richmond aforesaid Solicitors clerk the son of the deceased and Simon Coates of Richmond aforesaid Solicitors Managing Clerk the executors named in the said will - they having been first sworn well and faithfully to adminitster the same. Dated the 17th days of December 1897.
