married Elizabeth Smith (unknown) at East Malling Parish Church in 1784. Known children:

1. Besty Coucher - Baptised 1784.
2. Ann Coucher - Baptised 1786. Married John Crosswell in 1808. Died in 1865.
   
3. Mary Coucher - Baptised 1788.
4. Risetta Jane Coucher - Baptised 1799.
5. Jane Coucher - Baptised 1803.
6. Jesse Coucher - Baptised 1805.

Theophilus and Elizabeth were married by banns. Neither had been married before. The witnesses to the marriage were Joseph Hills and Thomas Coucher - presumably a relation of Theophilus'.

All of the children were baptised at East Malling Parish Church.

Theophilus died in 1819, aged 63 years old. It was noted that he was from New Hithe which is close to East Malling.
