  • Thomas Baker (unknown)

married Elizabeth Emblin (unknown - 1855) at North Moreton Parish Church, Berkshire, in 1789. Known children:
  1. Mary Baker - Baptised 1790, North Moreton. Married William Short in 1814. Died Abingdon, 1843.
  2. Thomas Baker - Baptised 1792, North Moreton.
At the time of their marriage, Thomas was a bachelor and of South Moreton, Elizabeth was a spinster (and presumably of North Moreton). They were married by banns, their witnesses were William Blackall and Francis Sadgrove.

The 1841 census shows Elizabeth living with her daughter Mary Short in Abingdon, Berkshire. The 1851 census shows Elizabeth living as head of household with two of her grandsons, George and Jonathan Short, but also in the same house as her married granddaughter Mary Ann New, again in Abingdon. (See the Short and New census records pages to view these entries.)

Elizabeth died in Abingdon, 1855, aged about 87 years old.
